The whole building is designed as a multifunctional structure that provides in-depth knowledge of wood, forestry and the environment through unique experiences. It will address three main groups of visitors:
– Groups from high school students to university students (primarily from Graubünden, but also from other cantons),
– a general audience who would like to expand their knowledge of wood as one of Switzerland’s key resources and basis for modern technologies,
– Teams of professionals from different fields working on new solutions in the field of wood technology and sustainability
The think tank on the top floor of the building “floats” above the valley; it is flooded with light and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area. It is the “head” of the building as well as the entire factory ensemble. Here, scientists research new technologies, experts work on presentations and interested parties take part in lectures and complete internships.
